At LiverRight, we know that diagnosing liver disease is not easy. It is, however, straight-forward, with one noteworthy exception: It tends to be asymptomatic.
Our Virtual Clinic, staffed by our own Hepatologists and Hepatology nurses, treats Adults, including HBV, HCV, PBC and both forms of Fatty Liver Disease, MASLD/MASH (non-alcohol related) and ALD (Alcohol-Associated Liver Disease).
And in so doing, we assess Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO), inclusive of coexisting conditions, and of course bloodwork, especially focused on liver enzyme levels (ALT, AST, ALP, GGT, and bilirubin).
After that? Ten (10) minutes and thirty dollars ($30).

The potential liver disease patient often is referred to an outpatient scanning device nearby (key word, nearby), where the patient copay will be ~$30 and s/he is in and out of there in ten minutes or less.
A Medical Assistant (MA) places a transducer against the skin on the right side of the abdomen, with a bit of gel between the sensor and skin. And instantly, a report is created as to fat, scarring and stiffening (if any) in the patient’s liver.
A very small price to pay in money and time to discern what stage, if any, of liver disease one might have — and then, it can be highly treatable.
Indeed, liver disease can be reversible, especially in the early stages, if the underlying cause is addressed. However, once cirrhosis develops, the liver damage is often irreversible, although treatments can help manage the condition and slow its progression.
Here’s an emblematic device, the Mindray Hepatus 6®—
